Enjoy an early rise as our friendly safari guides meet you for the start of your next safari adventure through the renowned Kruger National Park. The Park actually has an exceedingly interesting history which dates back to 1898. Its purpose has always been to protect the wildlife of the South African Lowveld, providing nearly 2 million hectares of unspoiled and diverse life forms. Considered the flagship of the South African National Parks system, the Kruger is home to an impressive number of species including 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 517 birds and 147 mammals.
Your safari kicks off the moment we enter the Kruger, as you explore the best game drives that the Park has to offer. Throughout the day, we explore various view points and waterholes until we reach a remote site for a tasty picnic brunch. Once an exciting day draws to a close, we return to the modern comforts of Thornhill Safari Lodge, we enjoy yet another taste of exquisitely prepared and traditional African cuisine. You then retire for the night, surrounded by the beautiful serenade of the African bush.
This is your leisure day, where you can soak in the African sun, relax at the lodge and sip on cocktails around our inviting swimming pool. Or you and the family can partake in any of our numerous and exciting activities on offer. Take a Big Five game drive, or visit a local animal rehabilitation centre or just spend the day taking in the sights and sounds around you at the lodge.
After a day spent relaxing in the distinct African ambience of the lodge, you can look forward to enjoying delicious African dishes prepared by our gifted chefs.
Rising early we head off on a game walk where you can explore the reserve on foot. Our rangers know how to entertain guests with fascinating facts as they lead you in tracking game in the wild.
After a tasty breakfast, we greet you farewell as you depart on the next leg of your journey.
